We are delighted to announce that author, DEBBIE YOUNG, will be joining us at our Cirencester Book Extravaganza on Saturday 16th May 2026 at Bingham Hall! She will be giving a free author talk at 11.00am followed by a book signing.

DEBBIE YOUNG writes warm, witty cosy mysteries celebrating village life in the Cotswolds, where she has lived for most of her adult life. She writes by hand in a little wooden hut in the garden of her Victorian cottage.

So far, Debbie has written 17 novels, comprising three series and a standalone, all published in English by Boldwood Books. A growing number of translations are available or in production, including German, Italian, Russian and Japanese editions.

Debbie also enjoys writing short fiction, including spin-offs from her series of novels, published under her Hawkesbury Press imprint, and murder mystery events for her local village drama group.

Debbie is director of the Hawkesbury Upton Literature Festival, which she founded in 2015. She loves speaking at bookish events, from small-scale author talks in public libraries to the global stage of the London Book Fair.
